Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations in the VFX department.
  • Initiate improvement and creation of department pipelines in coordination with Engineering Leads and Producers
  • Communicate department plan updates to the management team.
  • Work closely with HR on department hiring efforts.
  • Oversee business development, pre-production, and quality delivery for all projects
  • Manage allocation of manpower and resource logistics with IT
  • Manage and plan department budget with Tech Director and Accounting
  • Manage department documents, records, and knowledge base
  • Collaborate with the marketing team with regard to project promotions and events.
  • Align department goals with studio goals alongside the Head of GameDev
  • Develop and implement strategies, goals, and objectives for department success with the Head of GameDev
  • Ensure good morale and working culture in the department.
  • Resolve employee conflicts with HR.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 - 5 years of experience within the Game Industry or a related Field (Film, Project Management, Software, etc).
  • Experience with ClickUp or similar Project Management Software.
  • Excellent scheduling, communication, and task management skills.
  • Art Leadership Experience, having led at least a team of 5 people.
  • Must have worked on 1 shipped title.
  • Extensive knowledge of the creation process and terms used in Game Development.

Bonus Points:

  • Knowledge of game engines such as UE and Unity is a plus.
  • Knowledge of film industry VFX is a plus.
