Oh boy, was it a long March

March was a big and busy month for Project Xandata. The nomination for the Development Awards was a welcome surprise at the start of the month. The Game Connection Development Awards recognize and promote independent game projects in any stage of development. For 11 years now, they have been a platform for studios to showcase creativity and originality, and to be recognized by the game development community. For 2018, they have 11 different categories open to console, mobile, social, casual, and online games.

It was March 19, during the Development Awards ceremony held at Game Connection 2018 in San Francisco, that Project Xandata was awarded Best Desktop/Downloadable and the People’s Choice Award. We are overwhelmed to have been nominated alongside amazing games and are humbled by everyone’s continued support. We were also happy to see fellow nominee, Shots Fired, by Filipino developers Chryse on the show floor– we are honored to have showcased world-class talent and ingenuity of Filipino game developers at an international scale. A round of applause to all the nominees and winners, check them all out here.

We weren’t through with March just yet! The last week of the month held this year’s Pinoy Gaming Festival.

Bringing out the latest full map, Site Agalon, Project Xandata was featured on-stage four times over the course of the three-day event. Friday, March 23, allowed the Project Xandata fans in the audience to try the game out on the main stage. Saturday brought out the artists from Secret 6 to show that we’re not just great at art, but skillful with FPS games as well.

The third and final day showcased what Project Xandata is like in the hands of a true professional. Invitations to showcase the game were sent to Team Impulse and Team EmoTwo as they fought on stage to give us an idea how the game plays from the eyes of a professional.

Of course, no gaming event would be complete without a Free Play showcase held in the Secret 6 booth. For the entire three days, many players got to enjoy Project Xandata with assured quality gaming experience through MSI gaming notebooks and Sennheiser GSP 350s. We cannot thank our partner, MSI, and our sponsor, Sennheiser, enough for joining and helping us make our participation at PGF a success, and most of all, for believing in Project Xandata.

Although March was a huge month for us, there will be bigger ones to come as we inch closer to the open beta and launch. We cannot to see you back in-game really soon! For more updates, stay tuned to the official Project Xandata Facebook page.
