Project Xandata wins Best In Technology at the first Southeast Asian Game Awards in Level-up KL
Last November 8, Project Xandata was showcased internationally for the first time in Level Up KL held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The team came home victorious after Project Xandata was awarded “Best in Technology” in the first ever Southeast Asian Game Awards.
The Southeast Asian Game Awards is held in recognition of the various achievements in the game industry in terms of creativity, technology, and excellence in Southeast Asia. Indie game developers, studios, and students alike submitted their entries for a chance to showcase their respective games at Level Up KL. The event is an initiative under MDEC to drive the growth of the games industry in Malaysia and South East Asia.
Secret 6, represented by Project Xandata Producer Justin Tec, Creator and Lead Developer Gene Gacho, and Art Director Jemuel Bernaldez, showcased the Philippines’ first FPS original title using the MSI gaming laptops, GT72 6QE Dominator Pro G and GP62 7REX Leopard Pro, which boast powerful gaming performance on the go. Project Xandata, powered by Unreal Engine 4, and featuring online multiplayer, robust customization, varying game modes, and sleek visuals, came out as well-received by the international audience as it is, locally.
Alongside games like Re:Legend (Magnus Games, Malaysia), Infectonator 3: Apocalypse and My Lovely Daughter (Toge Productions, Indonesia), and many more, the Philippines’ very own Project Xandata proudly raises the flag of Southeast Asian game development prowess.
