Academe-Industry partnership in game dev!

Secret 6 is one of the pioneering studios for game development and art outsourcing in the Philippines. We have been delivering top quality art assets and games for over a decade. As the studio is composed of local talent, we continue to foster the growth of the game development ecosystem by supporting and collaborating with academe. One such collaboration is with De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. The institution has been at the forefront of responding to the needs of the industry through the formation of the game design and development course and in producing industry-ready game developers. We are proud to have some of our employees contribute their industry experience in the classroom by teaching in the course. In the recently concluded ESGS 2016, we partnered with Benilde to support each other in promoting and advancing homegrown games and talent. Interns from Benilde’s GDD course played a crucial role in the development of the public alpha build of the fast-paced first-person shooter Project Xandata. They made it possible to bring the game to the public by providing their Alienware machines. For the next year, we will be in collaboration with Benilde on several workshops that would enhance the course, pushing the industry-academe collaboration in the game development scene.?
