We’re happy to be back in Iloilo!

Last July 27-28, Secret 6 made its way back to CONQuest, the biggest gaming convention in Iloilo City.

Just months after its debut last December, CONQuest has become a much bigger event. With double the number of guests attending, the two-day convention became an avenue for Iloilo’s game enthusiasts to learn from several industry keynote speakers, bask in their favorite fandoms and artists, as well as enjoy intense eSports matches live.

Aside from showcasing talent through the various eSports tournaments, artist and gamedev booths and cosplay contest, this year’s event also aimed to educate its audience on careers centered on games apart from professional gaming. This was done by inviting keynote speakers like Youtubers UkieKooki and Winshard, Ariane Lim of Brentertainment, Kevin Hoang of Twitch and our very own Bien Cabungcal of Secret 6. They talked about their fields of expertise and shared pointers on how to enter the growing game industry, from creating YouTube content, to professional eSports, and even full game development.

Bien Cabungcal, who has been a part of Project Xandata’s production since its inception, shared his experiences and insights working as a game developer for over 7 years. This was preceded by an exciting showmatch between Acclaim’s pro players and several volunteers from the audience.

It was great to be back at CONQuest for the second year in a row, spending time with the passionate organizers and fellow guests and partners who flew in from all over the world. It’s truly a privilege and inspiration being witness to the continuous growth of the gaming community in Iloilo, and we look ever forward to even bigger things from them.
